Residential Exterior Beautification Program
The program will accept applications starting January 1st, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they were received. No applications will be accepted after July 31st, 2026. If you have been approved for this program in the past, you may apply again after May 1st, 2026.
Stewartville's Economic Development Authority (EDA) was established to attract, promote, and develop an economically sound future for the City.
The EDA established this program to enhance and improve the outward appearance of residential properties throughout Stewartville. The goal is to encourage the beautification of existing home exteriors and strengthen the overall character and curb appeal of Stewartville’s neighborhoods. All improvements must be highly visible from the public right-of-way.

Eligible Properties
Property must not have any outstanding obligations to the City (including delinquent payments or property taxes), applicant must own the property and project must have all required permits and approvals (if necessary).
Existing single-family homes within Stewartville City Limits with county-assessed Total Market Value under $ 275,000.
Eligible properties must be zoned residential
Single-family homes within the business district are deemed eligible
This program is only eligible for homeowners

• Garage door or front door replacement
• Exterior lighting installation or upgrades
• Power washing of the building exterior
• Tree or stump removal
• Exterior painting and repairs
• Window replacement
• Decorative railing or fencing installation
• Decorative brickwork
• Siding replacement or repair
• Step or stairway improvements
• Landscaping and green space enhancements
• Roofing work
