Administrator Schimmel opened the workshop by welcoming all in attendance and reviewing the ground rules and agenda.

City Engineers Don Borcherding and David Strauss presented a briefing on the City’s infrastructure which included the following maps with explanations:  base map, zoning map, future land use map, pond sites, water main system, sanitary sewer system, transportation system, parks and trails map, municipal state aid street system, CIP project map, street construction map.

Discussion regarding land for future expansion of the cemetery was held,  and it was felt that,when reviewing the future land use map,  an area should be included.

Each department presented a short dialog on its duties, its mission and concerns.   The mayor and council members each presented topics of concern, ideas or requests for additional input and information.

3. Wastewater facility – equipment & mechanical updates, phase 1
4. Stimulus plan
5. Council meeting format

7. Sidewalk issues, maintenance
8. EDA – Schumann land pricing
9. Comprehensive plan update and briefing
10. Joint school/council meetings
11. Debit and credit card pay options
12. Cold storage area, building replacement for parks and public works
13. Fire hall replacement, expansion
14. Future of Star building
15. 15th Avenue Northwest --  paving and maintenance
16. Street maintenance schedule
17. Sign ordinance review to help promote downtown revitalization
18. Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and assessments
19. Consent agenda format
